I know there was some writeup a long time ago about one, but it doesn't seem to be on the forum anymore. Anyway, I've got a guy locally who doesn't know much about his TT and I got him to take me for a ride in it tonight to diagnose some problems he's having. I ran the ecu codes and they came out clean - then he took it out on the road and showed me how it would 'stall' at 3200+ rpms. I could hear the air hissing out. Well, I don't personally own a boost leak tester since I've never had an issue yet, but he's hoping to have the car fixed tomorrow. Any advice on locating the leak? What exactly is involved in making a boost leak tester (where does it fit in the system)? Thanks!
